The webbies handed out awards for internet creativity yesterday. Highlight of the ceremony include the 5-word acceptance speeches that winners need to deliver. here are samples i culled from the net:
"Creativity is a renewable resource," said Biz Stone, who took the prize for breakout of the year for his role in the creation of the net's latest social networking sensation Twitter,
"What is this for again?" "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane asked when honored for his Web series "Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy."
Huffington Post political blogger Arianna Huffington, won for best political blo and she said, "I didn't kill newspapers, OK?"
Finally, newest late-night host entrant Jimmy Fallon said: "Thank God Conan got promoted."
Nice, huh?
